Hi Gary, hope this address is still correct. Is there a new home for your crisp pc-select scroll-lock information which used to be linked to from xemacsweb/Architecting-XEmacs/index.html ? Are your still maintaining any of this? crisp is an XEmacs package now, pc-select is part of the pc XEmacs package, scroll-lock is part of the crisp XEmacs package. I guess your bases are covered? [bug] Extents not restored correctly by undo. 22 years, 7 months

I'm editting an HTML::Mason component using "mmm-mode". The main mode is psgml's XML mode (xhtml), and there are Perl segments in there also. (mmm-mode is "multiple major mode mode") There are extents across the Perl segments... I started with something like: <% $perlvar %> ^^^^^^^^^^ Just this part is cperl mode. Then, with the cursor on the space between the first percent sign and the dollar sign, I used backspace to delete the percent sign, then typed an ampersand, then hopped over the $perlvar and did the similar with the other percent sign. (In Mason, this turned it from a perlvar interpolation into a component invocation...) The extent now looked like this: <& $perlvar &> ^^^^^^^^^^^^ All that in cperl mode now. When I used "undo" to back up to having percent signs instead of ampersands again, the extent that was in cperl mode stayed the same; IT WAS NOT ALSO UNDONE. That's a bug. Luckily, it's only a minor annoyance and not a total showstopper. <% $perlvar %> ^^^^^^^^^^^^ OOoops. -- mailto: (Karl M. mail-do-fcc 22 years, 7 months

I keep a copy of email I send by setting mail-archive-file-name to "~/mail/outgoing-mail". Every once in a while I open the outgoing-mail to look at a recent message, then I send another mail message. The latter message gets appended to the buffer, and not to the file. I think this is a really bad idea. Messages can get lost this way. (You can send mail from another emacs that appends to the file) I finally tracked this behavior to mail-do-fcc, which in fact goes far out of its way to append the message to 'target-buffer'. If this function always appended to the file, then the worst that would happen is that I might have to revert the target buffer.
