Dear Bug Team!
ispell.el 3.3 as packaged with xemacs doesn't fully like
aspell. Namely, the first time ispell process (which is actually
aspell) is started, check-ispell-version is called to verify the tool
version. Yet aspell doesn't include LIBDIR= line, that
check-ispell-version depends on, into its output. So, we end up with a
stack trace at the bottom of this message.
I propose the followin patch to fix the problem. I simply check the
result of re-search-forward and don't try to do call match-beginning
when there was no match in the first place.

Executing (generic-page-setup) in the *scratch* buffer, immediately
after startup, causes the same crash.

i see in the changelog
* package-get.el: (package-get-remote): Change custom type so
that only either a single directory or remote host:directory
can be selected.
imho this is evil, as i cannot install a released package using the
pre-release site (PRS), as i was able to do before this change
the package list, fetched from a PRS, includes also the released
packages, but if i select for install a released pkg, efs go out for
it _only_ in the PRS (where there are _only_ the pkgs in P-R), while in
the past efs searched in all the list of sites/pathname pairs, until
the package was found

I don't have a non-MULE XEmacs installed, but apparently
`buffer-file-coding-system' is not bound in non-MULE versions.
I think it's either a bug or a documentation bug, i.e. the possible
non-availability is not documented in the docstring.
