AltGr not working, serious error in 21.4.12. 21 years

Hi, When pressing AltGr the following error is raised: iso-level3-shift not defined. But the key works as expected, i.e when pressing AltGr+4 on the (swedish) keybord a $ is entered. It's really annoying to get this error every time the key is pressed. Another problem is that it is no longer possible to enter dead keys which can be symbols themself, like tilde ~. Pressing AltGr+~ gives iso-level3-shift not defined dead-tilde not defined Any hints on how to solve this? The people at XFree say it's a xemacs problem. Emacs, vi, vim and other terminal applications does not have this problem. xemacs is the only application I have found having this problem. Regards, Jonas

lisp/info.el: automatic build of dir buffer 21 years

I'm using xemacs-21.5 under native win32 with Mule. I have tried to turn on automatic build and save of dir contents for info directories. There are two problems currently: - info files which does not hold the proper description do not get a '\n' on their line in the menu. I ended up in forcing one in Info-dump-dir-entries. - Something is wrong wrt EOL conventions between buffers used. I don't know what is the proper way to fix it. Currently I have forced the LF only EOL in a couple of places. But that's ugly. Please test (and comment on) Euro support (ISO 8859/15) 21 years

I've just added initial support for the Euro (and a half-dozen other characters) by adding the latin-iso8859-15 charset (ISO Latin-9) the iso-8859-15 coding system (ISO 8859/15 and ISO IRV 203) the latin-9 language environment to 21.5 CVS (check out the bleeding edge with update -A). Yes, I'm inclined to apply to 21.4, but I'd like it to be more complete and somewhat tested first. ;-) I need advice on (1) what, if anything, to do about the XK_EuroSign keysym for X (I know you can (global-set-key [EuroSign] (lambda () (interactive) (insert (make-char 'latin-iso8859-15 #xA4))) but does there need to be a default binding? Is that the right one? Should it be activated by the language environment? etc) (2) any other non-Quail input methods for the Euro and additional characters (3) I want to make Quail latin-9-prefix and -postfix methods compatible with the latin-1 methods. I need suggestions for keystroke bindings for the following characters: U+20AC euro sign U+0160 latin capital letter s with caron U+0161 latin small letter s with caron U+017D latin capital letter z with caron U+017E latin small letter z with caron U+0152 latin capital ligature oe U+0153 latin small ligature oe U+0178 latin capital letter y with diaeresis French and Finnish speakers, this one's for you! (4) plausible aliases for the language environment (5) did I get the ISO 2022 final byte correct? (ISO IRV 203 says it's ?b, ie, ASCII 0x62.) (6) What else did I miss? Please note that the Gnus in the XEmacs packages seems to be broken; it will not do QP-encoding of ISO 8859/15 (or ISO 8859/any, for any != 1) correctly. Not for me, anyway (it just doesn't know anything about XEmacs, period). I haven't tried VM yet. Hi Mats! Just had a look at your smoketest log page... eww, lots of red. :-( I can't reproduce the 21.4 and 21.5 failures here. What version of GNU/make you are using to build the packages with? Problems with CVS version of branch 21.4 from today 21 years

Hello list, I am using xemacs 21.4 and I have a small and ugly problem. Starting xemacs or loading a file causes the progressbar to appear. Unfortunately it never disappears and does not show any progress. BUT if I switch to another screen or hide the processbar behind another window every thing is fine.
