It's a case-fold-search issue I haven't been able to resolve in half-an-hour. %S replacement is done, even though patcher-logmsg-commit-command %contains %s. I was able to commit my pending change using patcher.el<1.11>. case treatment in (defun replace-in-string (str regexp newtext &optional literal) is on trial. It uses re-search-forward for strings longer than 50, string-match otherwise. case treatment is undocumented for re-search-forward, depending on buffer argument for string-match. Welcome to new Beta Release Manager and Package Managers 23 years, 1 month

I'm pleased to announce that Steve Youngs has decided to take on the challenge of XEmacs Beta Release Manager, and in turn Ville Skyttä will be shouldering the duties of XEmacs Package Release Engineer, with Peter "Rendhalver" Brown assisting. These are primarily administrative positions, concerned with tracking and applying patches and packaging distributions. This involves a fair amount of time, and I am glad for this opportunity to acknowledge their contributions. Adrian Aichner, Vin Shelton, Andy Piper, and I continue as Webmaster, 21.1 Release Manager, 21.4 (Windows) Release Manager, and 21.4 Release Manager respectively, rounding out the administrative core. The XEmacs Review Board (see http://www.xemacs.org/Develop/jobs.html) continues to set policy, both for administration and architecture. Almost all policy discussions now take place on the XEmacs Design mailing list (open subscription, open post). Of course, contributions of code, testing, and bug reports are the lifeblood of an open source software project. But if you'd like to contribute some time and effort to management of the XEmacs Project, there are any number of tasks, large and small, that are being shared (or neglected :-( ) at present. XEmacs hangs loading customize menus 23 years, 1 month
