[Bug: 21.5-b21] dump-emacs dies for mature xemacs image

Dear Bug Team!
xemacs-21.5-b21 segfaults, when it tries to dump from a complete xemacs
dump. I was trying to cut down the load-time for mh-e by
cat > load-site.el <<EOF
(require 'mh-e)
(setq command-line-processed nil)
(dump-emacs "/tmp/xemacs.dmp" "src/xemacs")
EOF
xemacs -batch -l load-site.el
But loading mh-e and dumping dies with sigsegv (dies too without the
require statement)

The problems is obvious:

1964 for (i = 0; i < Dynarr_length (pdump_root_lisp_objects); i++)
(gdb) print pdump_root_lisp_objects
$2 = (Lisp_Object_ptr_dynarr *) 0x0
I presume no objects are added to the pdump root objects list with
the dump_add_root_lisp_objects function, hence pdump fails. Here my
comprehension of xemacs ends. I can only guess that fixing this will
include adding the proper root objects to this pdump list, but what they
(grep -r dump_add_root_lisp_objects xemacs-cvs ?) and how do I add them?

Hi XEmacs team,
I am using
XEmacs 21.4 (patch 13) "Rational FORTRAN" [Lucid] (i586-pc-win32) of Sun May 25 2003 on TSUNAMI
and found that `dired-do-rename-regexp' strips all backslashes from my
path-names. I think that in `dired-mark-read-regexp', the path
returned by `dired-dwim-target-directory' should be
`regexp-quote'd. See attached patch (which might not at all be
appropriate but illustrates my point).

Dear Bug Team!
In XEmacs 21.5 (comes with SuSE 9.3) copying and pasting text
solely with the mouse buttons gets mixed up with the commands
copy-primary-selection and yank-clipboard-selection.
After using these two commands instead of the actually marked text
sometimes the text of the last yank-clipboard-selection is pasted by the
middle mouse button.

I don't have a Windows machine to test or develop on anymore. I guess
the `mswindows-send-sys-command' function could test the variable
`noninteractive' or whether the console type for the frame is
`mswindows' or somesuch and just no-op when appropriate. I can look
into a good method to do that this week - I don't know one offhand and
would welcome any suggestions!

I think it's really hard to get decent coverage for an XEmacs or Emacs
testsuite because so much stuff is visual and/or interactive.

I even made an attempt to add some basic test coverage.
When running attached file via the XEmacs test harness, it crashes
temacs as follows when sending maximize #xf030 (the first test
executed).
I didn't expect it to work, but it should not crash so badly either.
Can you please take a look?
The file needs to go into
$(SRCROOT)\tests\automated\mswindows-send-sys-command-test.el
See $(SRCROOT)\nt\xemacs.mak.
Then run
cd $(SRCROOT)\nt\
nmake /f xemacs.mak check-temacs
BTW,
nmake /f xemacs.mak check
fails in the same way.
Running the test defun from a running xemacs basically works.
I haven't yet invested any work into comparing frame-configurations.

Yes Clearcase is installed on my Linux box. It works fine to check out
files and then edit them with xemacs, but it would be nice to be able to
do it within xemacs.
Which one should I be doing adding to my init.el:
(load-library "clearcase")
or
(load-library "vc-cc")
Is there any thing else I need to do?
I also tried this line (which I found in some documentation) :
(unless (noninteractive) (require 'clearcase))
