Dear Bug Team!
I wanted to comment a region with `comment-region'. Unfortunatley I got
that error:

I am not sure if it has to do with the use of `match-end'. That error
happens in a Lisp buffer as well as in a eg. C buffer. As a workaround I
set `comment-quote-nested' nil

i was using gnus, running xemacs in a `screen' session on tty
i tried using w3-fetch to retrieve something refernced in an article,

Dear SIR,

My father had already made arrangement for his family thats talking about my mother, my little sister and myself to be evacuated to HOLLAND NETHERLAND, with the CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT he made with a security firm in Europe through the aid
of U.N evacuation team.
During the war in my country, and following the indiscriminate looting of Public and Government properties by the rebel forces, the Sierra Leone mining coop. Was one of the target looted and it was destroyed. My father including other top Government functionaries were attaked and killed by the rebels in November 2000 because of his relationship with the civilian Government of Ahmed Tejan Kabbah.
As a result of my father's death , and with the news of my uncle's involvement in the air crash in Januaryit dashed our hope of survival. The untimely deaths caused my mother's heart failure and other related complications of which she later died in the hospital after we must have spent a lot of money on her early this year . Now my 18 years old sister and myself are alone in this strange country suffering without any care or help. Without any relation,we are nowlike refugees and orphans.
Our only hope now is in you and the boxes deposited in the Security Firm To this effect, I humbly solicit your assistance in the followings ways.
1. to assist me claim this boxes from the security Firm as our beneficiary
2. to transfer this money (USD$21M) in your name to your country
3. to make a good arrangement for a joint business investment on our

eterm package broken in 21.5?

Hi everyone,
I'm running Mandrake 8.2 Linux if that's relevant at all.
I recently built 21.5.13 in order to attempt to solve problems I was
having with tramp-mode hanging in 21.4.x. The good news is that, for
some reason, tramp-mode doesn't hang in 21.5.13 (see
http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/tramp-devel/2003-05/msg00006.html) like
it does in 21.4.x.
The bad news is that, M-x term RET /bin/bash RET gives me a terminal
that seems pretty broken. In particular, newlines don't seem to be being
read from the inferior process correctly, or something along those lines
("ls" from the bash prompt yields a series of incorrectly broken lines,
similar to what you'd see if your stty settings were wrong).
This isn't particularly surprising to me, as I realize that we're
talking about a beta here, but I'm in a position where I'd really like
(read: *need* ;) to have a working tramp-mode *and* a working term-mode,
in a somewhat stable XEmacs environment. For the life of me, I cannot
seem to obtain a build that will give me all of the above. :(
So, I'd like to know if anyone has some ideas as to what might be going
wrong? I'm more than willing to contribute to fixing these issues if I'm
capable, but I'm a mere elisp dabbler and up until now I've never had
much reason to dive into the code base -- hence, I'm not sure where to
start.
