Hey folks,
once agian, Im not ure this qualifies as a bug, but I can't figure out
how to fix it on my own.
running xemacs21.4.14 on debian-sid(unstable)
After a certain amount of fiddling with locales and keymaps, I've
managed to get accented characters to work right in almost
everything. I can type, for instance, u-umlaut or a-accent-grave
atthe bash prompt, in mozilla, and in openoffice without a problem.
In xemacs, these characters display properly all the time. At the
console and in its own X window (that is, frame), I can also type
accented characters without any difficulty. However, I mostly run
xemacs with the -nw switch -- for writing emails and also when taking
notes on my underpowered laptop. when run within a terminal, xemacs
does *not* recognize accented characters when I type them in (though
it displays them just fine). Instead, for instance, it interprets
'u-umlaut' as'M-I,' which is bound to 'shell-command-on-region'.
iso-accents-mode is a partial fix for this problem, but it doesn't
always work and anyway, it's not nearly as convenient as a
single-keystroke solution. Is there a way to fix this?

The Debian "calc" package (for GNU Emacs) contains the following
changelog entry in the Debian changelog:
calc (2.02f-18) unstable; urgency=low
* The units table defines a unit named "Wh" (Watt hour), with definition
"W h". This is incorrect; "W" means Watt, but "h" is Planck's
constant. The correct definition would be "W hr". closes: Bug#214685

Bug using "-" last in `skip-chars-forward'

The following bug exists both in Emacs 21.3 and XEmacs 21.4 (patch
14):
1. Start (X)Emacs with -q -no-site-file.
2. Create a buffer and type "-" in it.
3. Go back to the beginning of the buffer.
4. Evaluate (skip-chars-forward "y-").
The point does not move, whereas I expected it to skip forward past
the "-". That since a "-" last in a normal regexp character
alternative is not special. `skip-chars-forward' does not use quite
the same syntax, but according to the manual that detail should still
be the same.
Furthermore, if "-" in the buffer is replaced with "y", it still
doesn't skip forward past it.
I.e. when the string to `skip-chars-forward' or `skip-chars-backward'
ends with a "-" that doesn't also start it, both it and the preceding
character are ignored.

Dear Bug Team!
When openig xemacs, i get a delay where it states stat it is reading
view properties, and xemacs freeses.
After a while (30-60 secs.) it commes up with an warning buffer that says:
(1) (error/warning) Error in process filter: (error Spurious communication
from process cleartool, see buffer *spurious*)

Added the commnts i top of file to tell the corerct version, an inform
abaout the conversion from pascal.
corrected the printout to reflect the new version and creation date.
Usage: pwd
And after this xemacs seems to work fine
PS. I did not use clearcase-submit-bug-repport as i did that on another
error but got no response what so ever. maybe the used alias is blind or the
like.

[Bug: 21.4.14] "Edit -> Find" causes error

When I use the menu and select "Edit -> Find", I get the error
Image instantiator format is invalid in this locale. ....
in the mini-buffer. "Edit -> Replace" does not have this effect.
Search using ctrl-s / ctrl-r both seem to work, however. I redid this
with debug-on-error set to true, and got:
