I'm not exactly sure what happened, but when I went to investigate the
apparent demise of the XEmacs mailing lists, I found a truncated spam
filter config file and 166416688 bytes in the system mailbox....
Fortunately simply feeding the spool file back into the listserv got
all the mail sent out properly, and AFAICT things are working normally
now.
My apologies; I don't think I truncated the config file myself, but I
sure should have noticed it more quickly.

[I'd be surprised if this hadn't (at some time) been discussed to death,
so my apologies if I'm beating a very dead horse.]
Line and column numbering are inconsistent. When the cursor is in an
empty buffer, the line number is 1 and the column number is 0.
I'm used to zero-based arrays, so I expect both to be 0. (If they were
both 1, I wouldn't complain much.)

Two unexplained crashes of Xemacs

Dear Bug Team!
I have been using 21.4.8 since May 13, and in distinction for the
previous builds with gtk, this one worked fine (i.e.,
cut/paste with the mouse, etc, which were broken before).
However, I had two crashes in the last two days without being able
to get a backtrace.
1. Yesterday when I clicked on a URL in a mail-message (I am usinq
nmh with mh-e), which usually sends the URL to Mozilla, xemacs
froze the X server (I had to kill it remotly from my Powerbook).
2. Today when I tried to copy an IP number from a mail-header
xemacs simply froze and I had to kill it.
I suspect that both crashes are gtk-related, since this never
occurs in the 21.5.6 version I use, which was compiled without
gtk.
Will keep an eye on it and try to capture a backtrace.
BTW -- sound does not work with this build

Ok, just tried this with 21.4.8 and I cannot reproduce it any more,
looks that it got fixed somewhere between 21.4.6 and 21.4.8.
