In Emacs, `C-h a' and M-x apropos RET differ in "back-end": the latter searches all symbols, not just functions and variables, but the "front-end" is identical: the results are in the buffer `*Apropos*' and they look the same. This is why I bound `C-h o' to `apropos' - I think of it as an "extra junk" apropos. What I observe in XEmacs is a "front-end" difference: one produces `*Apropos*' the other `*Hyper-Apropos*'. Is there any `back-end' difference? I took care of marking all our diffs with the FSF 20.2 version with ;;XEmacs If the VC system is free in the FSF sense it is best if the changes could be submitted to the FSF version maintianer for inclusion.
