They just want to play with you. They need love and affection. Let them jump on your keyboard, help you code some lisp. If you really have to use a shoe, it should be only to provide them a tiny bed, with a rolled sock in it so that they could rest under your protection, a peacefull night. ... with some important patches from Michael Sperber and others. I'm hoping to get out (at least) one more test release before shipping. The release for Jason's binary kit builds/'net release is scheduled for some time around the 20th.

Repeat by: $ mkdir ~/.xemacs $ chmod 0 ~/.xemacs $ xemacs ^GOpening directory: Permission denied, /home/steve/.xemacs/ $ :-( Both xemacs-packages/ and mule-packages/ must be readable as well. It's probably better to ignore the permissions and blunder ahead anyway. If XEmacs/Mule can't find mule-packages/ it's going to eat flaming death, but an XEmacs/no-Mule ought to at least reach *scratch*.

please try this patch 26 years, 3 months

please try out this patch to supercite. If you work in an environment with MS mail users, you probably see a lot of addresses like "Miller, Jeff" <jmiller(a)smart.net>. Supercite currently would prompt with an attribution of MJ for this case. This patch use mail-extr, which cleans this and some other messes up. I tried it at work and it worked pretty well. I get additionally frustrated because the addresses I get are usually "Last, First Organization". breakage in supercite.el 26 years, 3 months

The function sc-attribs-%＠-addresses in the current supercite package yields different results than the one packaged with XEmacs 20.4. With the 20.4 supercite, I evaluate the following (sc-attribs-%＠-addresses "\"Jeff Miller\" <jmiller(a)smart.net>" "＠") and get "jmiller" as the result, which seems correct based on the doc string. "Extract the author's email terminus from email address FROM." With the current supercite, if I evaluate the above lisp, I get "Jeff" as the result. If you look at the functions in the two versions, they are quite different. 20.4: (defun sc-attribs-%＠-addresses (from &optional delim) "Extract the author's email terminus from email address FROM. Match addresses of the style ``name%[stuff].'' when called with DELIM of \"%\" and addresses of the style ``[stuff]name＠[stuff]'' when called with DELIM \"＠\".
