I had it wrong then... It guess the fork has already happened, and the free side of the tree is in the XFree86 camp.

This was my first thought too, but remember that we already have `point', `point-min', and `point-max'. I see nothing wrong with `point-at-eol' and `point-at-bol'. If we do change the name, then we also have to support the old names. BTW. I don't want to start a Linux vs. 'commercial' Unix flameware. I really like Linux, but most larger installations (universities or companies) use a 'commercial' Unix.
