XEmacs 20.4: modeline-format documentation 26 years, 6 months

Have there been any announcements about the b39-pre's ? I haven't seen any but I have seen build reports for them I am not subscribed to patch-xemacs so maybe I'm missing them on there --- Ian

XEmacs 20.4: find-function-noselect 26 years, 6 months

find-function-noselect blindly strips the last four characters from the filename; but the filename might end only in ".el", or in no extension. (The real problem is that evaluating a defadvice form (via eval-expression or similar) for a compiled file changes the return value of (compiled-function-annotation def) to "loadup.el".) Can XEmacs NT display on a remote X? 26 years, 6 months

Apologies for not sending this to the xemacs-nt list, which I'm not on. I've built XEmacs 21.0-b38 on NT via cygwin. Built and runs just fine. I didn't include X because I don't have the X libs for NT yet. However, if I build with X, can the xemacs on NT display a window on my Sun box? That would be fantastic if I could. Ray

If I do M-x make-frame-on-device if I enter an address like 10.0.0.123 I get X server not responding If I add :0.0 I get a core dump So no it doesn't work for me Is anyone interested in the core dump ? I do think it's good that Emacs be a generic term and I do think we shouldn't care about what he says.
