[PATCH] Device metrics here back again 26 years, 6 months

Last time I submitted this patch, Ben objected that device metrics should be implemented using device properties. After some discussion then, it became clear that metrics and properties are different namespaces, so it is better to have them separately. So I am resubmitting the patch exactly as it was before. Moved (device-pixel-height), (device-pixel-width), (device-mm-width), (device-mm-height), (device-bitplanes), (device-color-cells) to device.el, amd make them call (device-system-metrics). * console.h (struct console_methods): Replaced methods: device_pixel_width_method(), device_pixel_height_method(), device_mm_width_method(), device_mm_height_method(), device_bitplanes_method(), device_color_cells_method() with single device_system_metrics_method(). (device_metrics): Declared enumeration of supported device system metrics. * device-msw.c (mswindows_device_system_metrics): Implement device_system_metrics_method(), remove six obsolete methods. * device-tty.c (tty_device_system_metrics): Ditto. * device-x.c (x_device_system_metrics): Ditto. proposal for new configure flag 26 years, 6 months

I'm suggesting a "--bare-bones" style option to turn off as much as possible for those that want a lean & mean xemacs. I've already got a bit of something worked up, but of course, it currently is really one suited to my Linux box. It probably wouldn't configure correctly for the MS port, for example. What do others think? Is it worthwhile? There always seem to be chatter on the xemacs list about wanting a smaller xemacs. I currently get an xemacs that is ~2.75M in size. If there is interest, I can post what I have to xemacs-patches.....
