Problems with gnus and beta40? 26 years, 6 months

Hello everybody, after applying the b40-patch without any problems, I encounter now problems with gnus. Motif & Irix 26 years, 6 months

Martin, what is the right way to completely[1] disable motif by default on irix ? The copy/paste motif-related bug[2] is heavily depending of the patching level of the system and I'm not able to find out which patches are necessary. These are not XEmacs bugs per se, so I don't think this iss fixable. Of course it should still be possible to force motif in if one wants to. While we're at it, what would you think about warning messages for some particular combinations of flags on some platforms at the end of the configure ? Like for: - linking motif in on irix - not using union type on alpha[3] - everything from PROBLEMS I'm not thinking about OG. [1] The equivalent --with-dialogs=athena and --with-xim=xlib [2] segfault within a motif function/bad data abort() [3] Inflooping in the garbage collector for some combinations of compiler/system. I am able to reproduce it, but have lacked time to track the real problem.

I am building xemacs under i386-pc-cygwin32 with success!! But remember reading something about needing a certain version of makeinfo to generate info files. Does such a version exist somewhere?
