while playing around with this Mule and thai stuff, I've managed to at
least get Emacs20.2 to display correct thai script based on the
TUTORIAL.th.
but when i try reading in a file from a friend that he claims has thai
in it, i just get garbage. And he couldn't read TUTORIAL.th into the
editor he has (he looking to switch cuz he not real hot on it.
I have a suspicion of what the problem is. His editor is named UniEd. So
i'm thinking it's a Unicode editor, which we don't handle right?
What is the proper name for the encoding mule handles. I told him I
thought we used thai-tis620 or something like that.
anyone know of converters between unicode and other encodings? hopefully
something that could be run at the command line as a filter.
btw getting a little closer on getting thai working in xemacs.
