I have got an error in the mini buffer says `cant find egg-startup-file on egg-startup-file-search-path' when I try to input Japanese with this package. It was not happened with egg-its-1.11-pkg.tar.gz even I don't have the .eggrc file anywhere. Additionally, there is no eggrc-wnn file in the 1.12 package and I have put them into mule-packages/lisp/egg-its from 1.11 package to avoid the error temporarily. Sorry for only reporting, --HOYANO

The Perfect Patch 26 years, 1 month

The mechanical quality of patches going to xemacs-patches has been going up, and I thank you all for that. As a reminder for those not familiar with the procedures we use, I will repost an example of what I consider a perfect patch submission. It contains an explanation of why we need to apply this patch (you normally don't have to be this detailed, but this kind of detail makes it *much* easier to read patches and is most welcome). It contains a ChangeLog entry. It contains a patch rooted in the top-level XEmacs source directory. Well done Greg.

The minimal requires would be force-downloaded by the package-get stuffs. The maximal requires would need some kind of extra option. For a first cut, I'd be satisfied to have minimal requires handled correctly as the SUMO tarballs will handle everything else. > But maybe that would be too much a hassle to manage... At the present time, yes. We *really* need some tool to compute run-time dependencies.

No, that's not the case at all. To pick a specific example, there are many packages which have a dependency on reportmail, but *don't* have a bytecompile-time dependency on mail-libs. You don't need functional outgoing email to run cc-mode ... The run-time dependencies need to be in something completely separate.
