Functions in the code refer to faces that XEmacs doesn't know
Would it be a good idea to maintain a collection in fsf-compat?
I don't see why not, unless case (1) below is nearly universal. Talk
to Norbert about adding the library, probably fsf-compat-faces.el.
What would be recommended:
(1) In some cases, the face probably should be added to the core in
21.5 and SXEmacs and (probably) conditionally defined in
fsf-compat-faces.el for 21.4.
(2) If not, probably creating a new face in fsf-compat-faces.el is
inappropriate, but I wouldn't bet that it always is.
(3) If there's an XEmacs face with similar semantics, then
(a) if 21.4 and SXEmacs support aliases, use aliases
(b) otherwise use copy-face or a (load-time) conditional.
