Error when entering a group the first time in Gnus with 21.4.21

Hi This happens on XEmacs 21.4 (patch 21) "Educational Television" [Lucid] (i686-pc-cygwin, Mule) of Tue Dec 4 2007 on vzell-de the first time I enter a group in Gnus for the group buffer. Afterwards there are no more errors. Any hint ?
