Read-buffer lossage?

This bug report will be sent to the XEmacs Development Team, not to your local site managers!! Please write in English, because the XEmacs maintainers do not have translators to read other languages for them. In XEmacs 21.2 (beta23) "Hebe" [Lucid] (sparc-sun-solaris2.7) of Thu Dec 16 1999 on sibelius configured using `configure --site-prefixes=/usr/local --prefix=/s/chopin/d/proj/meps/common/bin/xemacs-21.2.23' Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: The behavior of (read-buffer "Buffer: " "*common-lisp*") has changed and is breaking Franz's ACL interface. Some how the default name is getting passed buffer-name which then chokes on the type. But then I am only a common lisper ;-) it may well still be a very simple bug.
