OK, so the problem is that it is failing to read resources which come
after this error, *not* that it is detecting that it should use
`XEmacs' resources?
I don't see that warning in the source, so I assume it is coming from
X? Is it printed on the console, or in an XEmacs warning buffer?
Can you verify that the value of x-emacs-application-class is "Emacs"
(not "XEmacs") when you start xemacs -q? (Use C-h v)? If not, please
send the output of `xrdb -query'.
