jde compile output is not visible in the compilation buffer

Using xemacs 21.4 (The latest as of 02/02/2002) for Windows with the cygwin build (cygwin 1.3.9) on a windows 2000 machine. Very often the jde compile output is not visible, and the following is the output seen... Note the error messages are not visible. compiling the same buffer again produces the right output. This seems to be an intermittent bug, and I do not see an obvious pattern. This might be a bug affecting all subprocesses, but I noticed it while using the jde compile.
