problem calendar <-> appt.el for weekly-nonmarking-entries

Hello I have the following problem: When a weekly entry is added to the calendar/diary file, with a specific time, Like Friday 12:30 (--13:30) Seminar this entry is treated as appointment and the user gets an annotation. So far so good, however this entry is also marked in the calendar, which for periodic events is not very appropriate, so calendar offers the possibility to add weekly events, with a non marker like &Friday 12:30 (--13:30) Seminar The problem is, this then is not treated as an appointment, I asked Edward Reingold, the author of calendar about this and he claims it is an appt bug Unfortunately the author of appt.el is not longer reachable via mail. Anybody is familiar with this issue? Thanks Uwe Brauer
