Dear Bug Team!
I notice on Windows and Linux that my recent-files menu only notices its
initial settings after the first time I open it. I have set it so that the
commands appear on a sub-menu, and the non-permanent files on the main
menu, but the first time I open it, it is always the other way around (as
per the defaults). The second and subsequent times that I open it, my
settings are respected.
