why has mule gone all verbose?

I get these warnings now: ARMAGEDON andyp> ./xemacs -q -display armagedon:0.0 Can't set locale. Using C locale instead. Can't even set locale to `C'! Warning: XOpenIM() failed...no input server available Which I didn't used to get under mule.
