I noticed png wierdness when I was testing my image generalizatoin, has
this problem appeared before or after? If after it might be worth trying
the original version ins glyphs-x.c to see if that fixes things.
The color wierdness can be caused by older versions of libpng... You
should update to 1.0.1 if possible. As to why it's crashing... still
searching.
