Dear Bug Team!
I have a problem using the TOOLS/GREP command.
It works correctly when I do a grep from the root directory
(/vobs/data) where my xemacs was started from.
1. Select TOOLS/GREP
2. Enter "grep -n TEST *"
3. The popup window looks like this:
cd /vobs/data/
grep -n TEST * /dev/null
Makefile:9:# PROJECT: TEST
grep finished (1 matches found) at Tue Nov 12 09:22:36
It does not work from a directory under the root dir (/vobs/data).
1. Open a file under /vobs/data/etc
2. Select TOOLS/GREP
3. Enter "grep -n TEST2 *"
4. The popup window looks like this:
cd /vobs/data/etc/
grep -n TEST2 * /dev/null
grep finished with no matches found at Tue Nov 12 09:34:14
If I add the path to the grep above it will work correctly
1. Open a file under /vobs/data/etc
2. Select TOOLS/GREP
3. Enter "grep -n TEST2 /vobs/data/etc/*" <<-- NOTE that the
full path was used in the grep
4. The popup window looks like this:
cd /vobs/data/etc/
grep -n TEST2 /vobs/data/etc/* /dev/null
/vobs/data/etc/TEST2.c:37:// TEST2()
/vobs/data/etc/TEST2.c:142: TEST2;
grep finished (2 matches found) at Tue Nov 12 09:38:19
