I don't see that warning in the source, so I assume it is coming from
X? Is it printed on the console, or in an XEmacs warning buffer?
Can you verify that the value of x-emacs-application-class is "Emacs"
(not "XEmacs") when you start xemacs -q? (Use C-h v)? If not, please
send the output of `xrdb -query'.
Greg
Just tried xemacs -q, and the x-emacs-application-class is
still Emacs. The warning I posted is shown on the console from
which X was started, and I don't know whether X or XEmacs
generated it.
Now I've tried xemacs -q with the offending font line
uncommented, and this time I started it from an xterm; the error
message is definitely from XEmacs, and the
x-emacs-application-class shows up as XEmacs. Do you still need
the output of xrdb -query? I so, I have it in a file and can
post it.
