No, if we were to do that the package repository would almost double
in size overnight.[1] IMO .upstreams should only be needed if there is
some reason that makes it difficult or impossible to track otherwise.
What happens all too often with the .upstream files is that the
package in question gets synched with a newer version with no thought
paid to the .upstream file, rendering it useless. Or the .upstream
file is taken into account when doing the sync, but that file itself
isn't updated, rendering it useless for the next time.
