xemacs-21.5.27/man/new-users-guide/edit.texi (line 244 et seq.) Examples tell the user to enter a return to complete the command. This is wrong. "C-u 10 C-n" rather than "C-u 10 C-n RET" and likewise for the other examples.

Hi! This is probably the most funny bug report you ever read but in any way ... The problem is the following! When I scroll in XEmacs with mouse wheel in one direction up or down nothing bad happen! But if I do it fast "enough" but quickly changing up and down direction X-server is frozen! I have to reboot or kill the X-server via login on my machine from another machine in local net! Machine is fast and it is enough to say that co-memory is 1Gb and processor is P4 2.4GHz! Problem occurred under SuSe 8.2, 9.3, 10.1 and with XEmacs 21.4 and 21.5 (distributives are in standard set-up of mentioned SuSe versions)! [Bug: 21.4.19] Windows XP: can't open files like ~/My Documents/foo.txt 18 years

If I had to guess, the problem is with filenames that contain spaces. This seems like pretty basic stuff however I just installed XEmacs and I don't have a .xemacs file. can not piggyback comint commands 18 years

In stable version of `comint.el' could type next command to inferior process while the previous one executes and outputs data, and type RET / `comint-send-input'. When the previous command completed, the next command would be passed to process, and it would start executing it. With `comint.el' revision 1.18 of 2006/07/11 23:45:46 +0 can no longer do that. Reproducing as follows. In `shell' mode buffer send command: (while:;do echo .;sleep 1;done) Then run `end-of-buffer', append the next command: (while:;do echo ,;sleep 1;done) Type RET. Kill the shell child process printing `.'. With stable `comint' shell would start `,'. With latest one it does nothing, have to type one more RET to start the command typing `,'. Piggybacking commands like that is extremely useful with lengthy jobs like compilation of large packages that for various reasons must be done in sequence, not in the same time.

21.5-b27, KOI8 autodetect trouble 18 years

Hi! I have some problems with KOI autodetection on XEmacs 21.5-b27 with Mule. From my ~/.xemacs/init.el (set-language-environment 'Cyrillic-KOI8) (setq default-input-method 'cyrillic-jcuken) (prefer-coding-system 'koi8-r) But any text file in koi8-r encoding detected as RAW instead of KOI8. The previous installed version, 21.4.19, detect those files as KOI8.
