I don't have any comment on this patch yet, but I'm curious if the
XEmacs that generated the Gnus crash you reported earlier has the
benefit of these changes.

Dear Bug Team!
Often when i don't use my xemacs for a while then when i return, i
cannot select menus with the mouse, if i try it sayes string?? nil
And after i tryed selecting with the mouse i have keyboard focus on
the file menu and i can there after select some menus with arrow keys.
If i click on a buffer to move focus it says "button 1 not defined"
and the focus don't move.

Dear Bug Team!
I clicked on the "open" icon and was shown a popup dialogue with
directories in my home directory in the narrower left hand pane
and files in the right hand pane. I used the mouse to grab the top
of the dialogue window decoration. Move this up and the top panes stay
the same size. Move it down and the top panes shrink. Do it a few
times and you'll only see the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons.
I was hoping to increase the size of the directory and file panes,
expecting the button area below to be of fixed size. I could find a
thumb to adjust the left/right balance of the uppermost panes, but no
thumb for the upper/lower pane split.
Thanks for all your work. I enjoy using Xemacs. 21.4.6 is the latest
revision supported by "Debian testing".

The tarballs will be in place later this evening. In the meantime,

The usual "no warranty" disclaimer (see etc/WARRANTY, sections 10 and
11) applies. Being "beta" software means that you should expect to
encounter bugs, you should expect it to crash, and you really
shouldn't be using it for "mission critical" tasks.

If you already have a 21.5.15 source tree, a patch kit is available in
xemacs-21.5.15-21.5.16.patch.gz. This does not update .elcs or .infos,
they will be rebuilt when you make XEmacs. If you have an earlier
version, you can repeatedly apply patch kits.

Solaris 8 platform.
It seems to run but I can't see the Buffer Tabs nor the Gutter even
with the default options.
