Dear Bug Team!
I have installed the Xemacs extension for the ClearCase VC package but
it continues to barf on the following:

The setup is thus: I have am running Win NT, my network drive is M:
and the 'view' is named Raven_Phase_1 ... the view is mounted as
\\view\cyoung_view

OK. Here's the actual patch you sent. (The call is still
character_to_event (x, y, z, 1, 1) in 21.5 CVS, BTW.) The context of
the call is that c = event_to_character (XEVENT, 0, 0, 0), then
traduit = Fgethash (make_char(c), Vkeyboard_translate_table, Qnil).
So I guess the idea is that since c and ev2 are synthesized, we don't
care what the console is, and so we shouldn't care about meta
processing on it. Thus it is right to turn use_console_meta_flag off?

The signal change is new code, where you change the SIGBUS and SIGSEGV
handlers so that you can try to smoke out illegal memory ranges. It's
only used in the new printing code. In 21.5 you have a macro
EMACS_SIGNAL which is typically qxe_reliable_signal but sometimes is
sigset or mswindows_sigset or signal. In 21.4 we don't have that
macro, and the new code that uses it is #ifdef'd !windows:

hey steve
i just tried to release your new version of mh-e
i got an error when it compiled. from the looks of it it has something
to do with rmail, maybe it needs a dependancy on rmail or its one of
those "rmail must be built before mh-e" problems im not sure
let me know if you need more info

Hi Folks!
I need a little help from a CVS guru in creating a CVS module.
The repository has this directory structure:
CVSROOT/dir1/fileA
CVSROOT/dir2/fileB
CVSROOT/dir3/fileC
What I want to be able to do is:
cvs co modname
and get all the files from the 3 directories in the same working
directory, like:
/modname/fileA
/modname/fileB
/modname/fileC
Anyone got any ideas?

Win2000, XEmacs 21.4.10, MH-E, cygwin 1.3.17-1

I've been trying to get MH-E to run within XEmacs on both my home (Win
NT4) and office (Win 2000) machines. Both machines have XEmacs
(21.4.9 at home, 21.4.10 in office) and Cygwin (somewhere around
1.3.?) installed. Both XEmacs installations are of the Win32
version, as opposed to the Cygwin version.
On my home (Win NT) machine, I can run mh-rmail with no problem. I
still have some issues with paths when I try to send mail, but I can
open folders and read mail.
On the office (Win 2000) machine, whenever I try to run mh-rmail, I
get pop-up windows that say:

So why is XEmacs even *looking* in cygwin1.dll, since it's the win32
installation?
Anyone know what might be causing this error? I don't know if this is
a Cygwin issue or an XEmacs issue or both.

If you have MSVC++, you can use `dumpbin /imports xemacs.exe' to see
what dlls xemacs.exe (or whatever it's called) depends on.

Hello,
I'm setting up our new 2-CPU Dell PowerEdge 1600SC, and xemacs crashes
as follows. Any suggestions? TIA...

*MAKE SURE* to include the information in the command
M-x describe-installation.
If at all possible, *please* try to obtain a C stack backtrace;
it will help us immensely in determining what went wrong.
To do this, locate the core file that was produced as a result
of this crash (it's usually called `core' and is located in the
directory in which you started the editor, or maybe in your home
directory), and type
gdb /usr/local/bin/xemacs core
then type `where' when the debugger prompt comes up.
(If you don't have GDB on your system, you might have DBX,
or XDB, or SDB. A similar procedure should work for all of
these. Ask your system administrator if you need more help.)

xemacs -vanilla, cvs of an hour or so. Load this source file[1], save
it under another name, or edit it and save it under the same name,
whatever. XEmacs adds some crap at the start which makes it
uncompilable. This is, of course, unacceptable. One should not have
to used C-u C-f x binary for source files, especially when using
gnuclient as a matter of course.

Attached is a standard XEmacs bug report. I am sending this email in .html format to illustrate the bug. The first instance of "autoload" illustrates the fontification before modifying Line 2, and the second after putting a space at the end of Line 2.
(autoload (quote vm-scroll-backward-one-line) "vm-page" "Scroll backward one line.
Prefix arg N means scroll backward N lines.
Negative arg means scroll forward." t nil)
