* XEmacs 21.4.8 "Honest Recruiter (Windows [3])" is released.
"Honest Recruiter" is the eighth in the OXYMORON series.
XEmacs 21.4.8 "Honest Recruiter (Windows [3])" is the fourth in a series of
MS-Windows focused releases of XEmacs. The intent of this release
series is to provide source and binary distributions of the XEmacs
21.4.x series with any additional fixes or enhancements necessary to
provide a pleasurable editing experience on the MS-Windows platform.
Source is available via cvs at cvs.xemacs.org. This release has the
release tag r21-4-8-3-windows and the most current snapshot will always
have the branch tag windows-21-4.
The binaries for both cygwin and native MS-Windows are available via
the XEmacs netinstaller which can be found at
http://www.xemacs.org/Download/win32/setup.exe This version of the
installer is 1.2.2.11.2.10.
Please note that if you are upgrading from 21.4.8 you may need to
uninstall the xemacs binaries before re-installing.

Dear Bug Team!
When I start up XEmacs and run M-x shell, I get this line:
Forked child base mismatch: 2000000 1000000!
three times, then no prompt, and nothing happens when I type
commands. I'm using the MKS Toolkit shell (ksh).
This sounds like a problem reported previously (in
http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-nt/199910/msg00107.html), and
fixed in XEmacs 21.1.9 (http://www.xemacs.org/Releases/21.1.9.html),
and, indeed, I don't have this problem with 21.1.9. But I do with
21.4.8.

Actually, it turns out that this doesn't work, either. I tried this
and M-x report-xemacs-bug wasn't there. Adrian reports that it comes
in the net-utils package, which seems not to be in efs or xemacs-base
(or I did something wrong). So this didn't work for me, either....

Yes, I did. The Mandrake-distributed RPM doesn't properly do package
updates, because of something funny in its efs.
I will try to figure out how to help them fix that.

Dear Bug Team!
I've just started using completer.el (from ilisp) as included by the
sample init.el. However, when completing command names at a shell
prompt, it doesn't find anything e.g. for "pl" where normal completion
offers a selection of commands including "play". Commenting out all
the comint stuff in completer.el gives me the other benefits (Lisp and
command completion such as a-f -> auto-fill-mode) without this
problem, but presumably it is supposed to work?

I try to change the size of font for methods of Java programs, but it
can't work. Could I custom the size of font according to different
face(for example: function, variable and so on).
In addition, Could I download a version with Chinese Simple mule?
