This sounds good! Do you know Rod Whitby and/or his recent work in http://rwhitby.hplx.net/vc-clearcase.html ? The ClearCase support in that version works fine in native NT XEmacs. Are you still waiting for Andre Spiegel to get back to you? Would it be a bad idea if I tried merging http://rwhitby.hplx.net/vc-clearcase.html into emacs-20.6/lisp/vc*.el? Do you know whether FSF/Andre would refuse to incorporate ClearCase support into their version? Will the vc-cc package become obsolete once the vc package is merged with latest GNU Emacs's vc and clearcase support is added? 21.2.32 (CVS updated 4/19) crashes spontaneously 24 years

This bug report will be sent to the XEmacs Development Team, not to your local site managers!! Please write in English, because the XEmacs maintainers do not have translators to read other languages for them. In XEmacs 21.2 (beta32) "Kastor & Polydeukes" [Lucid] (i386-unknown-freebsdelf3.4, Mule) of Wed Apr 19 2000 on elvenbow.nc.kyushu-u.ac.jp configured using `configure --compiler=gcc295 --with-mule --without-xim --without-canna --without-wnn --without-wnn6 --error-checking=gc,malloc --debug --with-widgets=athena --with-dialogs=athena --with-xfs' Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: I tried using CVS-updated xemacs-21.2.b32 yesterday, but it crashed (SEGV) after 5 minutes of normal use (I was typing some texts in irchat). Next time XEmacs crashed while I was reading mails using Mew. Still I couldn't reproduce the crash, but it occured a bit too frequent, so I decided to report once. If there are any good methods to isolate the problem, please tell me and I'll try them. It hadn't occured while I was using 21.2.b31, I believe. There were no lisp trace. I attached the stack trace of the latter crash. I lost the former one, but it also died inside garbage_collect_1(). -- Yoshiaki Kasahara kasahara(a)nc.kyushu-u.ac.jp

utility function for converting lists of objects to array of objects? 24 years

widget (toolbar, menubar, scrollbar) not redrawn in time 24 years

Recently I've noticed that if XEmacs is covered, and you uncover it, e.g. by clicking on the taskbar so that the mouse is not in the frame once it's exposed, everything is redrawn correctly *EXCEPT* the menubars/toolbars/scrollbars/gutters -- i.e. the stuff drawn by windows. Once you move the mouse into the frame, or any other event (e.g. timer) happens, it gets redrawn. For me, this can always be reproduced by iconifying and then clicking on the taskbar. It seems that it's most likely Jonathan's changes, because he was messing around with mswin expose handling; but it may be an andy thing as well. (btw it happens even when gutters are made invisible.) Could one of you look at this (preferably) or give me hints as to where the problem might lie? -- Ben In order to save my hands, I am cutting back on my mail.
