Please write in English, because the XEmacs maintainers do not have translators to read other languages for them. In XEmacs 21.2 (beta27) "Hera" [Lucid] (i686-pc-linux, Mule) of Fri Feb 4 2000 on trinity configured using `configure --without-dialogs --with-athena=3d --with-mule' Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: I recently upgraded my mail-lib package, and using the customisation option ; '(message-send-mail-function (quote smtpmail-send-it)) Seems to stop sending mail/messages from working. The smtp session just seems to hang. On the version of xemacs with mule, nothing happens until I manually quit. On the version without mule the session proceeds until the DATA part, then there is an error in the message bar saying something about using <CR><LF>.<CR><LF> to end data. If I use the default for mail or gnus (which I suspect is sendmail and I use ssmtp to forward) everything works well and I can send messages. If I uncomment the smtpmail-send-it line above, then everything stops working. Anyone know anything about it? Recent keystrokes: t e a d . egcs-20000131 c++ inline code generation broken 24 years, 2 months

Because I'm insane, I compile XEmacs with C++ compilers. I get a crash when building with egcs-20000131 c++. I believe this to be a bug in the compiler, not my code, because: - the crash is in stable code that works with many other C and C++ compilers, including the ones in gcc-2.95.2, and the C compiler in 20000131. - The crash goes away if inlining is disabled by: - compiling with `c++ -O3 -fno-inline' - compiling with `c++ -O2' - adding a do-nothing alloca(4) call to the suspect function. - The function being inlined causing the problem does something perhaps likely to provoke a compiler inlining bug, namely inlining a function which itself inlines a function with 6 parameters. If you'd like to fix this, access to my machine is available on request. [OFFTOPIC]: C/C++ doc block comment insertion elisp? 24 years, 2 months

Howdy all. Sorry for the slightly offtopic question, but I was wondering if anyone out there knew of an elisp package for inserting documentation type block comments into C/C++ sourcecode, hopefully with the ability to look at the function definition and put info about it into the comment (eg: parameters and return types)? I did a quick search and didn't come across anything but thought I'd ask... The reason I ask is that a coworker has a simple package he wrote that just puts a stock block comment template that he then edits, and asked me if I could extend it to parse the function definition and put some of the info in there automatically. Looks like that's it. Just rebuilt b11 and b12 and guess what? Nice icon in b11, greyed out in b12. And now the question that had to follow: Is there a possibility to fix this even for a "brain-dead" graphic card? Maybe Kazz, who submitted this patch, could shed a little light on it? According to the message to xemacs-patches, he tested on Sun (24 & 8 bit), FreeBSD and Linux. I'd gladly do testing on AIX if this is of any value, but unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with the source code to find out where something could be changed. So help, please.
