With point at the correct location in FILE type M-x add-change-log-entry-other-window You get a new ChangeLog entry referring to the file (and location within file, if applicable). I'm afraid you'll have to complete the entry by HAND :-) HTH, Adrian

Xt exits still occurring 26 years

On the down side, while the tab widget leakage is gone, I just got another Xt exit on a complaint of "Error: Widget *Article* has zero width and/or height", and that's with -b23 compiled *including* Jan Vroonhof's 1-line patch to lwlib-Xaw.c from last week (for XtIsSubclass), which is not yet in the sources (er, at least, it's not in the -b23 tarball I picked up this morning). This type of exit happens only when tabs are enabled; I've never seen it with tabs disabled. I've now got a gdb attached to a fresh XEmacs again, to see what the backtrace looks like, the next time it hits me again. Linux RH6.0, XFree 3.3.5, "./configure --with-mule --with-pop".

So probably xlwgauge (and the other xaw widgets) should be changed to do either #ifdef HAVE_XAW3D # include <Xaw3D/LabelP.h> #else # include <X11/Xaw/LabelP.h> #endif or to just #include "LabelP.h" and then the Makefile should be changed to include the right dir with -I if it is not already doing so. ./configure --with-sound=native,nas,noesd does not disable ESD. You need to do ./configure --with-sound=none,native,nas,noesd or ./configure --with-sound=none,native,nas to get the configuration I want.
