XEmacs for Cygwin vs Native 23 years, 1 month

I just installed Cygwin on my Win98 laptop and would like to install XEmacs for Windows as well. What is the difference between the Cygwin and Native installs? Build of CVS-fetched xemacs-packages brings up dialog boxes. Why? 23 years, 1 month

I am building xemacs-packages, updated from the CVS server. Although I've built XEmacs (from cvs) as a Win2K native app, I took the Ben's (?) advice, downloaded Cygwin and am building under a bash shell. I'd like to kick it off and go to bed, but I keep getting these dialog boxes that say "Messages outputted. XEmacs exiting." Can I turn off the dialog boxes somehow? -- Matthew O. Greetings, Recently, I was working on something that just wouldn't work properly. Rather than get frustrated, I decided to get a chuckle from the offensive fortunes through cookie(). I discovered to my dismay that the offensive fortunes are rot13 encoded. As a result, I wrote the following functions and figured I would submit them if they prove amusing/useful in any way.
