Hi All, I am seeing a glitch with the gutter-items The tabs for deleted buffers don't want to go away ie visit a buffer, then delete that buffer, and the tab for it persists If I create a new frame, then the new frame is correct this is xemacs-21.2.19 on cygwin on NT --- Ian ************************************************************* NOTE: The information in this email is confidential and may be legally privileged. gutter causes core dumps! 24 years, 9 months

I'm getting core dumps. The lisp traceback shows it's from update-tab-in-gutter. The error occurs here (I can't paste the whole trace because it seems the parent process running Konsole doesn't cut and paste properly :(. Ditto here. Also the gutter tends to not get drawn at all when it is not flashing crazily. To repro here (linux, XFree86, WindowMaker 0.60) all I have to do is hit 'C-l' to refresh the screen and the tabs disappear. It comes back if I split the window (C-x 2 or 3), but disappears again as soon as I hit C-l -Bill P.

21.2.19 The tab widgets are being redrawn like crazy under some conditions. It's awful. For example, lots of scrolling output from shell mode in window 2 is causing the tab widgets to flash like crazy. Not sure yet precisely how to reproduce it - but I've seen it several times after just seconds of use - so it's not too hard.

Hello Neal, are you sure your internals.texi is the version which comes with 21.2-b19? I buillt 21.2-b19 today, including info, and had no errors. I use the XEmacs package `texinfo' to build the info files since I build natively under Windows NT. The support for `nmake /f xemacs.mak info` just made it into xemacs.mak in 21.2-b19.
