Pixel position of a window point

Is there any way to find this? There is current-pixel-column for the x
position, but I don't see anything that yields the y position. A search
turned up a 2 1/2 year old patch that apparently was never applied:

I don't see any followups to this, so I'm guessing it was ignored to
death.
I need this, by the way, to generate fake mouse events from the
keyboard, so I can minimize hand movement, and especially avoid touching
the evil, hand-crippling mouse. I've got this great "menu" key on my
keyboard that does nothing but tell me that popup-mode-menu must be
bound to a mouse key or misc-user event...

how to return to same location in a file

Hi,
I just realized that xemacs has this function like vim.
I want to return to same location where I leave editing a file.
I know that "save place" option in Options->advanced->Emacs->Data->Save
Place
can automatically save the location when I quit editing the file, however I
have
to use "xemacs file" to return to the same location.
I use gnuserv all the time, and "gnuclient file" doesn't take me back to
the same location.
Is there any other method to achieve that, or I have to setup more options.

GCC 3.3 can't inline?!

Or something like that; it's possible my tree is corrupt or somebody
"touched" inline.c with the gripping hand, but gcc 3.2 is still fine.
Anyway, _nothing_ inlines as far as I can tell; I get dozens of these:

Debian `sid', updated yesterday, gcc3.3_3.3-2 Debian package.
Using configure --compiler=/usr/bin/gcc-3.2 wins, so I think it's
either soemthing to do with GCC 3.3 or with Debian's package version.

Bug in sending mail

When I send the message in the attached buffer, it seems to get
truncated at something like point 4018, I don't know why. I'm using
message mode under Gnus.
I'm pretty sure that the number of characters is important, because
when I sent to "xemacs-patches(a)xemacs.org" it gets truncated at the
first "wo" in "wonderworks", while if I send it to
"stephen(a)xemacs.org" (7 characters shorter) it gets truncated at
"wonderwor", ie, exactly balancing the seven characters difference in
addressee name length. If I send it to my local user "steve" it once
again gets truncated at the same buffer position (incidentally
exonerating the rest of the Internet, I think).

[Bug: 21.5-b11] Possible bug in recent revision of split-string in subr.el

Dear Bug Team!
After a number of changes to my configure script to get past a Bus Error after
dumping (in update-elc-2.el), I finally tracked the potential problem down to
recent revisions of split-string. Unfortunately, I can't get a stack trace or
anything useful because XEmacs exits as soon as it loads (even xemacs -vanilla)
on my platform. Reverting lisp/subr.el to the latest pre CVS20030423 version
fixes the crash. Note I have --use-union-type defined, but compiling with that
off did not help. However, compiling with --debug=yes fixed the problem. Does
dbugging on affect the stack or function calls? I ask because most of the early
load Bus errors I have seen on this system with XEmacs were stack related and
occured in regex code. I have an 8MB stack.

"Rational FORTRAN" is the fourteenth in the OXYMORON series.
The latest stable release of XEmacs, XEmacs 21.4.13 - "Rational
FORTRAN", is now available from xemacs.org and its mirrors.

If you already have a 21.4.12 source tree, a patchkit is available in
xemacs-21.4.12-21.4.13.patch.gz. This does not update .elcs or .infos,
they will be rebuilt when you make XEmacs. If you have an earlier
version, you can repeatedly apply patchkits.

Windows branch and installers:
The Windows branch continues to have a few changes not yet included in
the mainline. It is preferred to the mainline for Windows users.

Anonymous CVS is available. We are very grateful to the staff at our
host, SunSITE.dk, for a lot of help and quick reponse to all our
requests.
If you haven't used XEmacs CVS recently, we moved the repository
before the 21.4.6 release. The repository structure is the same as
before, so it should be possible to reuse an existing checked-out CVS
tree.
Take care that your Root is set correctly to
CVSROOT=:pserver:cvs＠cvs.xemacs.org:/pack/xemacscvs
On platforms with a Bourne shell and find available, something like
for r in `find . -name Root`; do echo $CVSROOT > $r; done
will convert your entire tree.
Tags are also the same; to update to release 21.4.13, use the release
tag "r21-4-13". To set a sticky tag which will always update to the
current release, use the branch tag "release-21-4".

did someone try Gnus 5.10.2 with XEmacs 21.5.12 or 21.5.13? Especially
the rfc2047 encoding of subject or from header lines?
It seems to work with 21.4.x.
For me it doesn't work (I send a mail concerning that bug some days
ago). Why did it get released? The last Gnus which works for me is
Gnus 5.10.1

Dear Bug Team!
I've been using the zenicb mode with "ancient" xemacs versions
for a long time without any problems.
With the current beta releases I consistently (but not realy
reliably reproducable at will) have the problem that the
zenicb mode sometimes "looses sync". I guess there are some
bytes swallowed or something. This happens "often" but not
always, i.e. I sometimes can zenicb for multiple hours until
it hits - but sometimes only for minutes.
When the bug hits, zenicb outputs things like this:

(where all real output was replaced with X by me). The ^＠ and
following chars are part of the ICB protocol and normally are properly
decoded, only the XXXX stuff should have been displayed.
This, of course, might be a bug in the zenicb code, hidden by other
things in older xemacs versions - but my lisp is too weak to check
this, unfortunately.
I'm not using xemacs for other network operations, so I don't know if
other modes are affected by this as well.
Please let me know what further data I could provide to help track
this down.
