Hello,
now we have a new version number but the problem with recent cygwin and
XEmacs:

still exists. A proof of concept version to enable building had been
posted here (<m38yvanvf5.fsf(a)xemacs.org>) (the patch had been for 21.4
but its content could also be used for 21.5.

[Bug: 21.5-b12] win32 frame un-maximizes when maximized

Dear Bug Team!
When XEmacs is maximized, many operations un-maximizes it such that the
upper-left corner is where the un-maximized frame would be - but the size
stays the same.
This will trigger it for example:
1) xemacs -vanilla
2) maximize the frame
3) C-x C-f C-g

I've started using XEmacs 21.4.12 on RedHat Linux 8.0. It
crashes often and often when I open a file, mouse drag, etc.
There's no problem to run the same version of XEmacs on RHL 7.3.

XEmacs 21.5.12 "carrot" is in CVS, you can grab it with the tag
'r21-5-12' or the moving "sticky" tag 'r21-5-latest-beta'.
I'll post the official announcement once the tarball is in place on
the FTP site.

I get lots of unaligned traps with CVS xemacs, which is pretty
annoying since it clutters the syslog, also it might lead to crashes
on architectures not friendly enough to fix this in the
kernel.
Unfortunately, I have not enough knowledge to see whether there are
unaligned loads needed a the specific places, or whether they just

I discovered that with 21.5.b11 (+CVS20030423) I now cannot get the build to
complete properly, and I think it may be as a result of some lisp shadows.

This is the first build where I have seen these shadows. Which directories
should I delete to assure that package updates find the correct packages and
that shadows don't interfere. Has the hierarchy changed?
