hexlify-buffer locks on some files. +CVS-20020914 22 years, 2 months

I have found that my most recent build of XEmacs locks up when I try to hexlify its buffer. This does not happen with the XEmacs from the SuSE-8 rpm. I've attached the output of gdb run as follows: $ gdb `which xemacs` (gdb) run ... [open file in XEmacs and try to hexlify the file. XEmacs locks up.] Starting program: /usr/local/bin/xemacs [C-c] Program received signal SIGINT, Interrupt. 0x405f9344 in write () from /lib/libc.so.6 (gdb) where [output is in the attached: xe.core] I also included the file which is causing the problem. This may be some kind of character encoding issue. That's what I was trying to determine when I found this problem. If anybody believes this is a bug, please let me know what other info you need from me. I'm running "Linux mybox 2.4.18-64GB-SMP #1 SMP Wed Mar 27 13:58:12 UTC 2002 i686 unknown" Which is a P-4 box and SuSE 8, latest patches. -- STH

hi, i just found out having installed 21.4.9 that I have problems setting custom fonts. First of all options->fontsize doesnt work reasonably. It stores my settings to custom.el but doesnt use it. it doesnt change the value in menu either. i am at the moment trying custom faces edit, but with no success -> i cannot set the sizes I want. what am I doing wrong? thank you dominique

pcl-cvs misfeature (forcing an up-to-date file to appear in *cvs*)? 22 years, 2 months

Hi, when a file is not listed in the *cvs* buffer (because it's up to date) I don't know how to have pclcvs apply a command to it (for instance, get the log or annotate). Is there a way to force a file to appear in the *cvs* buffer or open the directories to go to the place you want? Or a magic cvs-mode-mark-file-in-buffer in the editing buffer of the given file... hi, i want to install xemacs 21.4.9 over my old 21.1.4. There are no uninstall targets in my old installation. Is hand deleting xemacs* bin and /usr/local/lib/xemacs enough? thanks dominique
