Problem with mule info 22 years, 5 months

In XEmacs Info, under Mule->Language Environments there is the sentence "All supported character sets are supported in XEmacs buffers if it is compile with mule; there is no need to select a particular language in order to display its characters in an XEmacs buffer." Well, English isn't my native language, but this sounds grammatically wrong to me (shouldn't it read compiled?) and I don't really get the sense of it, too. cursor moving behavior with auto-show-mode off 22 years, 5 months

Hi, folks I've noticed (maybe) a bug on xemacs with auto-show-mode off. The cursor does not follow the current point. How to repeat: 1. start xemacs by "xemacs -nw" 2. eval (setq truncate-lines t) and (auto-show-mode -1) 3. C-e on the middle of some truncated line. 4. point moves but visible cursor does not move. The correct behavior is C-e (or repeated C-f) should put cursor to "$" mark on the right end. But if I repeat C-f then the visible cursor stops just before "$" (not on "$"). I've tested it on XEmacs 21.4 (patch 6) "Common Lisp" (freebsd) XEmacs 21.4 (patch 8) "Honest Recruiter" (linux, Mule) Best Regards, -- Yoichi Nakayama

As you can see, this is XEmacs 21.4.8-2, Cygwin version, on Windows 2000. I am running one of the many multi-desktop tools available for Windows -- sort of like fvwm for Unix. I have an xemacs window open on one desktop, working fine. I switch to another desktop. I switch back to the original one. If I now type at the xemacs window, nothing happens; the xemacs window's display does not change in any way. If I minimize then restore the window, the effect of whatever I typed is now visible, and subsequent keystrokes produce the expected immediate response. Mouse clicks have the same problem. Dired behaviour change in Windows[3] 22 years, 5 months

Has something been changed in one of the Windows[x] releases? I used to be able to do a dired on *.cpp files (for example) but not anymore. eg. C-x d \foo\*.cpp no longer works. The error is "Finding truename: Input/output error" apologies if this has been sent to the wrong place d ps.
