free/open NNTP servers for comp.emacs.xemacs? 23 years, 10 months

Greetings, I'm trying to move our comp.emacs.xemacs bi-directional mail-news gateway to sourceforge along with our other mailing lists. To do so I need an NNTP server that will allow access and posting from lists.sourceforge.net. The obvious first choice would be a news server run by SF's top-level network provider (exodus.net), but I wasn't able to find such a beast. The only other option I can think of is some kind of open and free NNTP service. Do such legitimate services exist, and are they fairly reliable? Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Printing crashes XEmacs --vanilla 23 years, 10 months

ps-print 6.3.3 : Works for mule/non-mule XEmacs??? 23 years, 10 months

Hi, it seems that the latest version of ps-print 6.3.3. works for non-mule and mule XEmacs (I did some minor testing and found no problems, Colin Marquardt <colin.marquardt(a)usa.alcatel.com> reported in c.e.xemacs that he works since quite a while with ps-print 6.3.3. on non-mule XEmacs). Is this already a result of the work of XEmacs people trying to port ps-print? CVS repairs 23 years, 10 months

Good news, maybe. I've discussed the CVS issues with Jareth Hein (the administrator of the machine that hosts cvs.xemacs.org). He has agreed to do some work on the server, and explained in some detail the situation. For historical reasons, the host runs BSDI. This isn't going to change soon, although Jareth would really like to change the OS for his own reasons. The problem with doing a CVS upgrade has been that version 1.9.26 (I think it is) is the most recent and reliable[sic] version of CVS that passes the self tests on that platform. Everything more recent fails `make check', on something like test 8 of 26. He's never had time to track down what the problem is, until now. He's making no promises, but if he does manage a successful build and check, he will probably upgrade CVS within the next day or so. Upgrades are upgrades; there could be a service outage, but we hope not. He says that cvs.xemacs.org is not stressing any of his resources (disk or bandwidth). no buttons without the widgets 23 years, 10 months

Yesterday, I was tracking a bug in Gnus, and I compiled XEmacs without widgets (more precisely, it was configured with widgets = athena3d, but hte widgets were not available on my machine). I then noticed that in Custom buffers, only the "Reset" button was present.
