pc-select & signal-error-on-buffer-boundary 25 years, 1 month

If you are like me and tend to lean on the line keys, you have have `signal-error-on-buffer-boundary' set to nil (no beeps). However, the pc-select package overrides the definitions of various functions and effectively turns this variable off. For example, `pc-select-move-line-up' calls `next-line'. Next line will only honour the `signal-error-on-buffer-boundary' if called interactively, which it is not from the pc-select functions. My patch changes the calls from: (next-line arg) to: (call-interactively 'next-line arg) If anybody knows a better way, I would love to know. I am not sure, but I think XML DTDs should be added to the catalog, because the system identifier is not always valid if you edit files from other sides or the referenced webpage doesn't exist anymore. BTW, does psgml.el actually use HTTP to get the DTD? I don't think so. Note: For our company I hacked sgml-public-map, to look up the DTD in one directory based on the given doctype. I agree on that. Since XML is really coming (e.g. used with Java), there will be many DTDs for XML applications. It is impossible to put them all into XEmacs. Jan Footnotes: [1] i.e. I am betting the compiler use a builtin memcmp. However looking at the sparc output it seems that gcc doesn't always do that.
