Gutter updates 24 years

This fixes the problem whereby switching the gutter location doesn't work. Thanks for the report. Two remarks: * I don't have the source around, so I can only guess what's going on. The older version of parse-time.el simply used vectors. * An uncompiled backtrace would contain more context information -- you can get it with `(load "parse-time.el")'. * If the code was compiled under GNU Emacs, that may be the problem. Try recompiling it with XEmacs, and loading it. I believe the problem is that the code, or some utility function it calls, tries to use make-char-table to create a syntax table. Under XEmacs, you call `make-syntax-table' for that purpose. Can you try that modification and see if things work out?

Ulrich, Thanks for the patch. You are correct that the lispref claims that concat takes an int, but that capability was taken out of XEmacs awhile ago, I think around 20.something. If you look in the etc/NEWS file, you'll see the following entry: ** The `concat' function no longer accepts integer arguments. I modified your fix - I took the approach of changing the calling code. Hi, Can I find a version control to handle Clear Case. I found one for Emacs and not for XEmacs. Any info in this regard is welcome. I am forced to using Emacs for this reason.
