ldap not working with Xemacs-21.0 on cygwin 25 years, 6 months

Hi I compiled Xemacs-21.0.(67) on WinNT under the cygnus environment with ldap support. This used to work in version xemacs-21.0.60 but now when trying to connect to an ldap server, xemacs just dies, no core no nothing the xemacs-window just disappears immediatly. Is this a known problem, on NT/cygnus or are there problems on other plaforms also ?? Ciao Volker

platform independent paths and psgml 25 years, 6 months

The attached patch to psgml.el,v 2.20 lets me find the catalog on MS file systems. It works, but it seems like there ought to be a more abstract mechanism of dealing with this. Major select rationalisation [21.2] 25 years, 6 months

Well its taken longer than I though but I have finally finished rationalising select so that the windows behaviour is much more like the X behaviour. I have generalised much of the code so that there is virtually no duplication. All the selection converter stuff now works for mswindows. Next the font-menu .... Could someone update .messages at ftp.xemacs.org? 25 years, 6 months

The .messages file in the /pub/xemacs directory still lists 20.4 as the current release. Could whoever has access to this file possibly update it to 21.1? Or should it be 21.1.2 (ugh)? Thanks, R. In real life, nothing is all white or all black. You're never completely sure that you wont introduce a new bug by fixing another one. However, strongly filtering the patches (like Tomo's) for 21.1 is the way to limit the risk.
