Problem with configure i586-linux-gnu 25 years, 8 months

Hello! I experienced a small problem while installing xemacs-21.2-b12 on my intel linux 2.2.2/glibc-2.1 system. As usual I configured ./configure --prefix= i586-linux-gnu And as I expected, the things that should go in exec-/doc-directory were installed to /lib/xemacs-21.2-b12/i586-linux-gnu. But when xemacs starts up it searches in /lib/xemacs-21.2-b12/i586-pc-linux, the directory derived from the canonical arch name and complains about exec-/doc-directory not being correctly set. I replaced the occurences of i586-pc-linux with i586-linux-gnu in config.status, reran it, and installation went fine. Martin

Nice try, but the problem is, that if i set my LC_ALL to de_DE xemacs crash if i force him to the error "No such file or directory". If i set my LC_ALL to C. everythig work. Anyway if Karl has no finder-inf.el, it _may_ be, that he come from another door to this bug.

extent-data in bbdb-xemacs.el :-( 25 years, 8 months

The "extent-data bug" in bbdb-xemacs.el hasn't been fixed in the CVS tree, right? Hi all, When I try a package update (pick a package, any package) it fails saying that the downloaded package does not match the md5 checksum. This is 21.2.12 ( but I've seen it in earlier releases) on cygwin b20 under NT What am I doing wrong ? --- Ian

XEmacs GIF bug? 25 years, 8 months

I get a ton of GIF errors referencing the URL: http://www.sinica.edu.tw/ftms-bin/ftmsw3 (7) (error/warning) Error in process sentinel: (image-conversion-error First image in GIF file is not full size [gif :data GIF87a... Hand loading the only GIF I see on that page does not yield the same warnings.
