GPM was not running. I suspended and `fg'd a couple times. When I
realized that gpm wasn't running, I tried to exit XEmacs.
There's been a weird problem where when I go to exit, it says
"loading hide copyleft", then just sits there. I have to push `C-g',
then `C-x C-c' agian to make it exit. (With -vanilla that doesn't
happen.) I've not spent the time to track this down yet.
This time, when I pushed the second C-x C-c, XEmacs crashed.
Fatal error (6).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's the second run, this time with GPM running. I can't suspend
XEmacs. The mouse cursor after a C-z is choppy, like talking through
a fan. The screen scrolls up a line, leaving the cursor at the lower
left. Pressing C-c gives a prompt about whether to autosave and the
if I want to abort and dump core. I think it's in a resignalling
loop.
Fatal error (6).
