"Abomination", I agree with. It doesn't appear to cause any problems with Solaris. How about HP/UX (10.20 to be specific)?

[offtopic] c tools 26 years, 4 months

I asked on this list about 1 year ago if anyone could suggest a tool to help me with the following problem. I now have changed jobs, and I can't remember the name of a very nice tool someone recommended. The mail archives don't go back that far. Someone handed me a big bunch of c code. I had a utility that generated nice cross-referenced html from that. Anyone remember what that util is called?

Hi there, after some extended absence from this list (due to lack of time), I now grabbed the latest xemacs beta from xemacs.org again and tried to build it. Unfortunately, I seem to experience trouble with trying to get the packages to work correctly. As this topic has probably been discussed several times, I'd rather not start a whole new discussion, so I'd be grateful - if someone who feels knowledgable enough would come back to me via email to help me get through this now, instead of (maybe for the gazillionth time post it here... ;) The story so far: I built and installed xemacs (--prefix=/usr/local/stow/xemacs-21.0-b46). Then I created a directory /usr/local/stow/xemacs-21.0-b46/packages and extracted some packages into that one (cc, vc-cc, pcl-cvs); went back to /usr/local/src/xemacs-21.0-b46 and did "rm lib-src/DOC ; make". CVS changes... 26 years, 4 months

In order to better support our poor, beleagured friends running Windows95 and/or WindowsNT, we have made a minor change to the CVS directory structure of the package 'psgml' and to the Attic of xemacs-20. In replacing the ':' character in one of the directories with a '-', we have fixed a problem which prevented 95 and NT'ers from grabbing the sources, at the cost of a minor hastle to everybody on their next update (and loss of some backwards mobility in the tree...). For those of you who have checked out a copy of the 'xemacs-psgml' module, you have a couple of choices in doing your next update. 1) delete the module and start again. Obviously the easiest. 2) delete the etc/ISO_8898:1986 directory, and do your update with the '-Pd' option. 3) rename the etc/ISO_8898:1986 dir to etc/ISO_9989-1986 and edit the etc/CVS/Entries file to read the same.
