I've just got a development Ultra 30 to play with now too, so hopefully i'll be able to keep building XEmacs on it as well as my Digital Unix 4.0 box... ...unfortunately i'm having a lot less luck than I expected to - I get as far as : [ ... ] glyphs used: 18 glyph storage: 720 opaques used: 6 opaque storage: 648 opaque lists used: 2 opaque list storage: 48 vectors used: 754 vector storage: 231820 hashtables used: 337 hashtable storage: 13480 and it just hangs. nothing's been written to xemacs itself. Earlier today I complained to the two mailing lists that sending a URL to a running Netscape was failing with an error message from Netscape. Vivek Khera <khera(a)kciLink.com> was quick to point out that most probably the reason was that the URL contained commas. I have it and he was right on the money. So now I file a new bug: when using browse-url to send a URL to a running Netscape, all commas (and possibly other special chars) should be replaced (I think) with the ugly %XX contruct, where XX is the hex representation of the special character. When I did Options->Customize->Update Packages it went astray and blonked at some point. I suspect this has to do with old packages laying raound in my /tmp and package-get-remove-copy being nil. vc-cc does not work on NT 26 years, 5 months

I just tried vc-cc-1.03 on NT-4.0 with beta34 and it does not work. It gets to the staring cleartool prompt and locks up. I also tried using the version of vc-cc that I use with NTEmacs and beta34 still locks up at the starting cleartool prompt. NTEmacs used to have the same problem. I'll try and look through the NTEmacs mail archive to see what they had to change. -- John Morey
