There are so many instance of function calls selecting on the selected device to access particalur functions that it would be good to define some standard ways of doing this. Do any lisp gurus have any suggestions (or think this is a bad idea? Of course, string syntax for regexps (especially the fucked-up mess that calls itself "Emacs regexps") should be one of the First Things Against The Wall When The Revolution Comes. [BUG] shell history in XEmacs 21.0 beta40 26 years, 6 months

As reported before the display of saved history is broken on HP-UX 10.20 when using ksh. The right side menu of the the saved history contains non visible entries. The history buffer looks like this: Click button2up on a history reference to select it. Type M-v or prior to move to this buffer, for keyboard selection. Possible history references are:
